Lemon – Probably the best known of all the natural skin lightening remedies. Use the juice neat on the skin, but take care, as lemon is very acidic, not recommended for sensitive skin. Add lemon juice to a little natural yogurt if this is the case.
Potato – Potato, like the lemon, contains a natural bleaching agent, but nowhere near as acidic. Grate some raw potato and squeeze the pulp to extract the juice, or simply apply thin slices to the area in question.
Avocado – – A rich source of vitamin C, and a fatty acid known as oleic acid. Oleic acid is well known for its many health benefits. Mash avocado to a paste to apply to the skin.
Almonds – Almonds are naturally high in antioxidants and vitamin E. Pop some shelled almonds in a blender with a little milk or natural yogurt to make a powerful natural moisturizer to repair the skin.
Cucumber – A powerful anti-inflammatory, and another great source of anti-oxidants, slices of the humble cucumber will do wonders for your skin.
Aloe Vera – Without doubt, one of Mother Natures miracle plants. The Aloe plant has been used for thousands of years for all manner of skin complaints. Use it everyday as part of your routine, pure aloe vera is best.
Vitamin E – Essential for maintaining skin health, Vitamin E should be applied daily for maximum benefits. A very powerful antioxidant , vitamin E cannot be produced by the body, so a supplement is necessary. A good tip is to snip the end off a vitamin E capsule and apply the oil directly to the skin.
Here are just a few of the many home remedies for pigmentation marks and for lightening darker areas of skin. All of these remedies are readily available, and most you will probably find in the kitchen.
